Cracked nose cap

Hi Montana fans. I have a brand new 2017 Montana HC 379RD. We picked it up last October, and have not used it yet. Still snow up here in NH. I noticed yesterday there are two places on my nose cap that cracked, or spider webbed. Anyone else have or had this problem?

They wrap around from the sides. I figure they will only get worse. The problem is, we traveled to Georgia from NH to buy this unit. Getting a Keystone Dealer up here to work on it may be like pulling teeth.

Get it to the dealer, that is the first step. And your nose cone is under the 3 year warranty for structure.

But the first step is getting it to a dealer who can then get with keystone representatives.

Ours came from a bit South of you in West Hatfield,MA, Diamond RV. They seemed to take care of us nicely: https://www.diamondrv.com/

Worth talking to them anyhow

Dave W, we bought out first 5th wheel at Diamond. They were great, that is until we did not purchase our last one from them. They will hardly talk to me now. I didnt buy this one from them, because they did not have a 379RD in stock. In fact, they said they probably wouldnt be getting one.

WeBeFulltime, we tried to buy locally, but the only 2017 379RD we could find was in Georgia. They changed the 2018's, and we did not like what they changed. We asked Diamond if they could purchase our unit for us and we would pay for the delivery from Georgia, but they said they could not do that. It is a shame that RV dealers are not like car dealers, and you can just bring it to any dealer. For the money we pay for these, and as cheaply built as they are, you think they could afford it. The only good part is, we saved $12,000 between our trade and the cost of a new one up in NH.

Then I would take it too a reputable boat repair or fiberglass body repair shop and have it looked at and or fixed. MAYBE Keystone would be willing to work with you on something like that.

That kind of surprises mr with a repeat customer .....

'Nother one. Some of the folks at our summer CG 'love' Pete's RV in S. Burlinton. We looked there but bought at Diamond as Pete's was difficult for us to easily get to for any warranty service: https://www.petesrvvt.com/.

Although a bit of a haul for you, these people also advertise locally. No idea if any good: http://www.brownscollision.us/collis...r_page?pid=440

Definitely put in a call to Keystone Customer Service and have them open up a case # for this so it is tracked in their system seeing the unit is so new and could be a manufacturing defect. They typically will work to find a local dealer to investigate the problem who will work with Keystone on the repair

Thank you mjammersc. That seems to be the best bet. I will try that tomorrow. It is not bad, but it wont get any better, and it is a new unit. I am afraid as with most fiberglass, the crack will travel. Have a great camping season!

Call keystone. Ask if you can take it to a local body shop.. dealer cant fix it.. the other option is to have a new cap sent.. goes to a body shop anyway.

That should be covered, just a little bit of a pain to get it serviced but dealer and Keystone should take care of it for you
