Welcome to the forum. I am going to recommend that you start a new thread with your question or search for old threads. Your probably not going to get the best results in the toilet paper thread!

We only use RV toilet paper for one great reason...we keep getting it for free or for only a penny a roll.
We have so much stock that we could give everyone at the upcoming June rally in Utah a roll and still have plenty for our personal use.

Ok, Chief, you can't just through that out without an explanation!

Ok Scott. I have gotten free 4 packs at RV shows. Also I, live within 20 miles of 5 RV dealerships. They will have deals like, spend xx amount of dollars and get a free 4 pack of toilet paper or have coupons for free toilet paper just for stopping in. A couple times a year one dealer has toilet paper on sale for one penny a roll. I honestly can't remember the last time I ever paid full price.

One of the rules of a Chief is "never spend your own money unless you have to".

TP for everybody !!

As was mentioned RV's use holding tanks not septic systems. If the paper dissolves doing the shake test you are good.Use lots of water and dump often. We dump the black tank every 3 or 4 days .It is not a big deal.

I do a lot of boondocking and dump our waste into our septic tank. I need to use the right TP and chemical for my septic system or I'll have to have it pumped every year.

We have a septic tank and have had it pumped once in 43 years and didn’t need to then. Our home place is 70 years old and it to has been pumped once. The secret is how much bacteria you choose to kill. Keep it killed with bleach or something else and you can expect trouble.

My son runs the paper machine that makes costco tp at the Wauna mill in Westport Oregon. He says it safe for RV's spectic systems.

This thread got a little off track discussing septic systems; RV's don't have septic systems; they have holding tanks.

He knows of what he speaks. Bacteria breaks down black tank waste .You need to have bacteria not kill it. Waste does not stay in the holding tank all that long to you need fast acting product like Rid X FOR RV's. We personally use nothing but maybe deodorizer in very hot weather but dump the black tank every 3 or 4 days. Don't forget the galley tank as it collects food particles that can cause problems.
