Air Intake

This question may be out there somewhere, but I cannot find anything. I have 2017 Montana 3000RE. I was concerned that the air intake for air conditioner was restricted. I removed the register to clean the foam filter and noticed that the duct appeared to have collapsed into the air intake opening. Has anyone had this problem and if so, what did you do to fix it.

Yes, this has occurred to many. Inserting pvc tubing into the duct can prop it open. Some have cut 1.5 inch pvc slightly less than the width of the air intake, then turned it to insert into the duct. If more length is needed, add a coupler then another length of tubing.

Thank you for your response. I thought something like that may need to be done. Just to clarify your recommendation. Do you insert the PVC into the duct? You are not suggesting to make a hole in the duct, are you? You are talking about laying it into the air duct to prop it open.

It's really not that complicated. The PVC pipe is inserted into the duct through the filter holder. Do not pucture the duct. I used 11/4" because it's what I had on hand it it worked fine.
