update on Ascot roller shades

I contacted Ascot through a link from another member and they sent the parts for free! I had three shades that were broken. Easy enough to change, no instructions but I figured it out pretty quick. Here goes; once you remove the old broken ends, manually roll the shade all the way up, install the ends, install the shade then pull down about a foot. Turn the black wheel in the direction the shade goes up just a couple of turns and the shade will retract while you're doing this. Pull the shade down about half way, unlock it and see if it goes up by itself, it goes up slowly by design. If it doesn't go all the way up, give the black wheel another turn until it works properly. After that it should work from any position you choose! How long they will last is anyone's guess!
