Extension to shore power cord

Any recommendations out there on extensions for the 30-ft shore power cord that came with the unit? The plug is on the back end above the bumper and due to configuration of 6 slides (2018 3730 FL) I need to back in farther than usual to avoid some trees - but now I need an extension for the shore power. Suggestions or experiences?
Thanks,
Max

Hi

I made a 60 ft cord using the largest wire that the plus at both ends are reacted for.

The cord that comes with the trailer has larger wire than the plug is rated for. This doesnít hurt anything and is the only place I have seen that Keystone over builds.

If you are in a area that has Park Trailers, check with park maintenance or the selling dealer.

Park Models come with shore power cords, but when set are hard wired, sometimes.

I got mine out of a pile of probably 50 cords. Put a wall mount dryer plug on the end of it since only one end has a plug.

If building a cord, you will need 3x6ga and 1x8ga

PPL has a extension cord for $130, so might be a quick option for you.

Also, if you are not used to PPL, they show the sale ends on Friday, however if you go back in next Monday they will have moved the end date to the next Friday. Just a way to get you to buy NOW...

50 amp extension are priced higher than I'm comfortable with. Found a 30 amp one at Wallymart for a little more than $50. Since we've only one AC it works fine with an adapter at the end of the anaconda.

I caught Camping World with their 50 amp 25' extension cord on sale for well under $100 and bought one. Have only needed an extension one time, but when you need it, you need it.

Hummmm-- that might be above my pay grade to accomplish that in a DIY fashion, thanks for the information though.

Ok - yeah, they do seem high- I did find one on Amazon for 51 plus change but it was 15 feet. I think that is all I need.
Thanks

Power cord

10 gauge wire will carry 30 amps, 8 ga is rated for 40 amps. I would buy what is called "SO" cord from Home Cheapot or Lowes and then add the ends for your connections.

You can buy ready made cords for your purpose, they just cost a bit more.
