No Problems This Year!!!

Finally I have a year where there have been no problems for the whole season. Actually, I did have to take my fireplace out and clean the thermostat which took about an hour. No leaking tanks finally and everything went good this season.

Glad to hear. For us it runs in spurts. Last few years have been great. But then we went to the Rally and the Morryde check up found springs that needed replacing, a cracked brake line, valve problems on the hydraulic slide controls (Keystone is sending me the part) and on the way home the bed fell apart. The new mattress did it in. Foam, coil springs, more foam and gel was just too much for four screws run into the dryway to manage. Big repair job starts tomorrow.

Nice... things were going very well for me too, until my fireplace went kaput, got the replacement part and now can't put it back together because one of the pictures I took about its assembly is obscured by other wires (I put up a post about it in another topic).

You do realize you have now probably jinxed yourself. Best of luck to you.

We only had two holding tanks fail and had to have the long screws in the front end done and the screen door fell apart and the trim came off the ceiling and the two lights over the counter fell out of the ceiling. Not a bad year.

Ours was pretty good this year. Screws fell out in the closet that secures the bracket that holds clothes up. Went to oversize screws and seemed to work. Just got home and found a screw that fell out that came out of the lamp above the kitchen table. Screws fell out of the shock on the basement door. Had to go to oversize screws. I need to do a big look over and check out the rest of the rig. Not bad.

Ours was Great! Ceiling fan came down, molding over led lights in living room came down, water heater did not work, black water handle would not close, grey water handle broke off, shower door handles broke off, and one tire wearing faster than the others... just took a trip from Reno to Washington DC... had a GREAT TIME, Rv is very comfortable. Great big screen rvs and we use pathway x2 satellite recievers....

You all are scaring me. We pick up our new 3731FL in a couple of weeks and hopefully this unit was built okay. All kidding aside, I realize that that most RV's need constant attention and maintenance but some of the issues I'm reading about shouldn't ever happen like the tank failures, that must be pretty darn frustrating, I'm sorry to hear that. I do appreciate everyone's comments and I'm glad to be part of MOC, I've learned a bunch and will certainly help me with our new Montana. Thanks everyone.

Great year in my 2016 HC 375 FL.

AC not cooling, sewer plumbing leaks, water leaks filling basement, water heater not burning right, Roof leaking at rear cap. wiring cables sticking through slide seals, insert screen fell of door of water heater, found all axle bolts loose. Got to camp 1 month out of the first 5 with the RV in for repair the rest of the summer.

Enjoyed our first year with the Montana fifth wheel trailer. One small electrical issue with the lights in the ODS slide (broken wire in connector outside of slide), and the forward AC temp issue (suspected rear AC electronic board). Trailer in park for the year as we tried out all the systems during the season. On the road later next year. I expect then to see how well things "SHAKE OUT".

A 2006 3400RL, a good year, replaced a 6 year old battery, replaced 6 year old G614s, concerned with the age of the tires, tread still aplenty, and as always tightened a few screws and other normal maintenance. Now onto other age related replacement activities, replace the Morryde shear springs on the suspension, replace the slide toppers, replace the awning, and prepare for a potential refer replacement, as everything is 10 years old. Not too bad for 10 years old and 50k plus miles on the Montana. Oh, I did replace approx. 1/2 of the decals after 8 years of use. In contrast to Richfaa, I have only had two black tanks crack, replaced the first one, repaired the second one and it still is not leaking, (knock on wood). I have been very lucky to have received a very good unit in 2006.

Had we kept our 06 3400 and spent 10K or so in upgrades and re conditioning we would have been much better off.

We had a good year too. The only issue since we got our 3750fl new, was this summer one of the front slide cables frayed and broke. Got a replacement kit . I actually got 2 of them, so we would have a spare. I followed directions and some YouTube videos and replaced and adjusted myself. Fixed and all good now.
My 2 cents worth is that considering how many thousands of Montanas are built, that there are always a percentage that have assembly, and/or equipment problems. Comes with the territory whether it's an RV, Auto, Truck, Yachts ,etc, none come out 100% perfect everytime. Just because send someone pays big bucks doesn't give them immunity from problems.Welcome to real life .

Ours is a 2014 3155RL, this is our 3rd season with it and we have made to trips to Florida these past 2 winters. It has been an awesome coach with no real issues, other than the front sliding doors for the closet will not stay secure when traveling. Our front A/C unit quit would not run on this last trip so I will have to get it into the shop between now and when we head south in late January. We love our Montana!
