Replacing our recliners...Anything I need to know?

To put it bluntly, the factory supplied recliners are crap! We are going to replace them with la z boy or something. Is it just as easy as making sure they will fit through the door before buying them?

Consider the final destination, will the slides close by them. We are replacing ours with a double reclining love seat. Took a long time but finally found ones that fit! Can't wait 'till we actually get them.

We went with Lazy Boys. Smaller one for Joyce and big one for me. Got them in with little or no stress.

Got my swivel rocker recliners at Costco. Much better than OEM.

In our 3725, we went with La-Z-Boys. Got rid of the sofa, and put in two "wall hugger" recliners. For the area where the original factory recliners were, we got the La-Z-Boy entertainment set, which is two recliners, which are separated (but attached to) a matching console with cup holders in a table top, and a storage drawer underneath. Everything works out super. And, the La-Z-Boy stuff is lighter than the factory chairs, plus the backs come off easy, so no problems getting any of them through the door.

Most lazy boys the back comes off just measure the height from floor to top of arm and door width and you'll be fine we put a new wall hugger couch n the raptor before we sold it was a little tight getting it in but we just put new recliners in the monty no issue

We replaced our leather recliners with Lazy Boy recliners. The style is called Harbor Town. They are narrow and have smaller arms, however the sitting area is wide due to the arm construction. The backs are high, so when you are sleeping your head is supported. When you raise the foot rests the fabric goes from the seat area to the foot area. This was a requirement for DW. Molly always slept between her legs while watching TV. As mentioned, the backs come off, and since we have to turn the recliners 90 degrees to get the slides in, they are easy to pick up and turn.

We used these for 6 years in our previous M/H and now they are in the Montie. Same chairs and the fabric is like new.

For what it's worth, we got rid of the RV recliners and opted to buy gliders with a gliding ottoman. These happen to be from Best Chairs, Inc. manufactured in Ferdinand, Indiana, but I'm sure you could find comparable ones. Found them in a furniture store. They're much more comfortable than any recliner, lighter in weight and easily moved, plus take up a lot less space. We have the same in our home and we and our guests prefer them over any of our other chairs.

We replaced our recliners with Lazy Boy units- they delivered them to the trailer and removed the old ones.

Replaced ours two months ago with LZBoy pinnacles. Already comes with the round wooden base so it slides easy to get back in place for travel. The original chairs were very heavy and awkward to get out the door. New chairs felt strange at first, but now we LOVE them. Very comfortable. Very similar colors to the rest of our interior. We bought them on sale at a good price and had to wait 10 weeks for them to be made as the material was not a usual showroom fabric. Well worth the wait.

We replaced our factory recliners with the Lazy-Boy Rocker/Recliner model Pinnacle with cloth. It was listed for $429.00 each. We love the new Lazy-Boys a lot and I am working hard at adding up the unconscious hours in mine.

We didn't want the swivel base so they just rock & recline. As stated already, they are a lot lighter than the original factory chairs and a lot better constructed to!!

Thought I would add some pictures of what we did. Here is what our Lazy-Boys look like: (Not the best pics, used my phone to take it!)

This is what we replaced the couch with, it really opened up the area a lot:

Replaced ours with Lazy Boy they have a smaller recliner that does not swivel or rock, They are very comfortable, but I am not as big as alot. They fit well in the 3402 and were easy to get in the door with the back off.
