Bad day for Big Country owner...

Hope everything turns out good for those involved in this accident today.
It certainly was a bad looking accident. When I first seen it I thought it was a Montana involved. Itís sad that lives were lost in this.

Bad situation all the way around. Like Bill I had to watch the video. Sure looked like a Monty at first.

I usually like the fact that everything is bigger in Texas, but this is one instance that we could do with out.....

Looking at all the damage on the road, that Big Country driver did a pretty good job of saving his rig.

he did some good driving to avoid serious injury but the truck looks totaled and the 5th wheel may not have faired better.

Don't know that there was much driving he could do to save his rig since they were all being rearended. Can't tell if he did stop it in time to keep from rearending the guy in front or if he got pushed there when he got hit. If there was no room to get off the hwy onto a median or shoulder there was not a whole lot he could do but hang on. Drivers down here crack me up, they don't slow down for nothing. Even when we get ice storms and it's slick as heck they still try to drive 70 mph?????

We were caught up in the traffic from this horrible accident( not towing) for an hr. until we could go off the the right across the grass and onto an acess road. After we seen 5 ambulances go by, five tow trucks going by, and the helicopter, we knew this wasn't going to be good. And this was at 12 noon. State Troopers were amazed how well people were helping people. God Bless Texas.

When ever we hit the road I have the CB on. I know it can be a noisy thing from time to time, but in instances like this you normally have a little more warning. Course after driving the super semi for 7 years, the CB noise dosen't bother me, and I sure like to know whats ahead before I'm in the middle of it. Happy Trails kids, take care of each other.
