Small fireplace addition

We needed more electric heat (our SOB had a heat pump and furnace which provided us with propane or electric heat). Bruce Lenhardt gave us the idea of adding a fireplace. He did a terrific job. We were going to do the same mod he did as we have the same floorplan. But, instead, we found a perfect solution for us. It is just so cute and only cost $99. It looks exactly like a little cast iron stove, but actually is very lightweight. We can move it wherever we want. Dick fixed it so we have power at the TV, or we can move it to other places if we want.

This little stove looks good. Where do we find one like it?

Footloose, that is exactly the stove we had before I put the fireplace in. Looks great.

Bruce, your mod would have been better. But this was easier for us. Recumbant, we bought it at Orchard Supply Hardware (owned by Sears) in San Jose, California.

We both had a laugh today. We had never seen this type of electric heater before. We thought we were presenting our MOC-ers with a new option. Bruce tells us he had one. Then we hear WalMart has them. And, today we see Lowes has a similar one for $89. Story of our lives. LOL Anyway, we are really enjoying our "new found" fireplace.
