Mor/ryde IS

I am considering having the Mor/ryde IS installed before we head south. Has anyone had it installed and what are the results. Kind of costly and just want some real world experience before I lay out my cash.
Thanks,
Don

Had it installed 3 years ago. Very satisfied with it, would do it again.

Had mine installed 2 years ago and would also do it again. Hardly notice the trailer back there. I also have the Trailersaver Air Hitch, which I think makes a big difference also. If you are planning on keeping your rig for awhile and full time, I would definitely go for it. If you just weekend and occasional long trips, I would think twice about spending that kind of money. Oh, BTW, we had the Kodiak disc brakes installed also and the Dexter "NevR lube hubs"... We are completely happy with our suspension system....

Thanks to both of you. We aren't full time, but are on the road 7-8 months a year.

Rich (richfaa MOC #2839) had it installed and loves it. I would also ask how much extra it would cost to add the disk brakes, which is something I am seriously considering putting on ours. Maybe they would give you a discount package deal.

Don,

October Trailer Life has article on IS system and Kodiak disc Brakes, and Carlisle actuator package. IS system is 1,040 per 7,000 lbs axle. Brake upgrade was $1,830 + 740 install.

If you can't find the artificial, PM with email address and I can scan it for you.

Had it installed last year . Big difference in ride and handling also do not have axles, springs, hangers, U bolts, Etc to worry about. The two systems, IS and brakes cost abour 2500.00 each.
parts& Labor & Tax. Had it done at Mor Ryde in Elkhart as did Phil.

We had it installed in September 2003 and it is well worth the money. I can't remember the cost. I think it was around $1800; worth every penny. No springs, no wet bolts, nothing to worry about. Have had one alignment check in the seven years. And that was only as a preventive measure. I had some tires that were worn on the outer edges due to the original axles and I wanted to make sure that they weren't wearing anything like they were before. I seem to have even wear on the treads of my Bridgestone Duravis tires.

Our 2009 3605RL came with MorRyde Suspension so does that mean that we don't have the U-Bolts that need to be changed to wet bolts?

Don't want to have to cut into the belly to look at things if we don't have too.

Thanks,

Judy

No what you have is MOR/ryde's RE Suspension System, between the leaf springs. You still have leaf springs and axles. Trailer Life October 2010 page 43 has a good article on the IS System. You can read the article online at:
