Awning from Manual to Electric

I have a manual awning and want to covert to electric. I will need the short arms as the one is over the basement. I have 10 inches of clearance from the awning rail to door. I was going to go with an A&E setup. Can anyone tell me if the door is going to rub on awning with this electric setup?

it should be the same set up as a manual awning. clearance should not be a problem. The arms are no wider than the manual ones.

Dave, you might want to look af Carefree of Colorado, They offer just the electric arms for 5th wheels, you use your original awning and outer tube, just replace the arms and install the electrics. Not sure if they have one to fit your rig, but I know they have them for the 3400. They're called the Traveler Arms. You can check them out at www.carefreeofcolorado.com Quite cheaper than a totally new awning. If and when mine blows away we will replace with the Carefree Brand.....(come on wind!!!!!!!!!!!!) I see they now have an adjustable pitch feature also...... The Cadilac....

Read on another forum where a guy wanted nothing to do with the electric awning and wanted to go back to the manual...said it was too slow...go figure.
