Hose Storage

Has anyone thought of storing their water hoses in a separate enclosed box container with locked lid attached to the underbelly?

I mounted a piece of 6 inch PVC conduit behind the front legs for my ladder and another in front of the rear stabilizers for sewer hoses.

We actually have our ladder stored in pvc pipe as you have pictured. I was thinking of our fresh water hoses in a latchable box type attached to the underbelly. I was thinking of moving them underneath it give more space in the basement and still keep them clean as long as it is a closed space. I have not seen anything like this. Have you???

My water hoses are almost all (several) ten footers with quick connects. They are stored in the propane lockers. I probably store 4 or 5 of them on each side.

Propane storage, never thought of that approach. I will have to take a closer look at that area.

All great ideas.
Thank you.

I carry a 20ft and 10ft water hose in the drivers side propane tank storage area. Learned this trick here on the MOC several years ago, and have been using it ever since.

I have several on the drivers side which are the ones for our freshwater hookup. On the off side propane locker are the longer, older hoses I use for washing the rig, plus a couple of spares for those extra long reaches for fresh water. To remove the propane tank, I just pull out the hoses and lay them on the ground. My hoses are all coiled up with quick connects snapped together to keep them coiled when in the propane locker.

For those of you who are storing your hoses in the propane storage, are you using any type of reel or other means to secure them? Any pictures would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Lakejumper, most of mine are ten footers and have quick connects on them. I just coil them, snap the connectors together, and shove them in the compartment. I try to put them behind the edges so if a propane locker door comes open on the road they don't easily fall out. I keep four or five on the connection side.

On the other side I have another ten footer or two plus a couple of older longer hoses I use for washing the rig.
