It may sound strange

It may sound strange, but in all this full timing, We never bought a grill, just did all the cookin' inside. I had seen the one Carl and Susan had when they grilled oysters in June 2009. We liked it, but it seemed a bit bulky and besides I am kinda cheap about stuff like that.

Well, Camping World put the dang things on sale (it really was a sale 'cause I checked around). So we got the Coleman Road Trip Classic. Grilled steaks and veggies on it for the first time today. Outstanding! Instead of putting water in the pan, I sprayed it with non-stick spray. It cleaned up with paper towels like a dream. By the time we had eaten, It was cool enough to clean up and break down for storage.

I know that Grills are a very personal choice. Webers are so popular that I skeptical of the Coleman, but no more. I also found a five star review for Consumer Reports. It may not work for anyone else, but I am happy. Now we will have to see what kind of longevity it has.

We recently bought the O-grill 1000 from camping world. We are very happy with it and love that it comes with a canvas bag for storage.

We are on our second Road Trip grill. They are very good. You can boil water on it too if you get the right grill replacement top. Keeps moisture out of the house.
In hot weather or windy conditions be aware that the sparker can melt. That has happened on both of our grills. 110 degrees in the desert and wind on the ocean shore blew the heat at the sparkers. Coleman does not sell a replacement.
Other than that, we have enjoyed the grills a lot!

A friend of mine has that grill and I was impressed on how well it worked.
There is nothing in the world better than a cookout when camping.

In the hot weather, they are great, because cooking outdoors means the Monty stays cooler inside. I also have a 20# bottle, extender pole, lantern, hoses and 2-burner stove. I can do all the cooking even at night and keep the RV cool.

I have that same grill, the Coleman. Now, Earlene just needs to get me to use it.
