"Jack" digital tv antenna

Saw an ad for a new digital tv antenna replacement called the JACK. It us a direct replacement for the bat wing already mounted on my Monty. Anyone had any experience with it or heard any good news about it?

It looks like an interesting idea. I would like to see the dimensions of the JACK. It could help out in certain space limitations.
The JACK: JACK

I have one.

I bought it because when I tried to add the wingman on my regular antenna I had a space problem due to the front A/C on my trailer. I've been out two time since I installed it and it seems to work great. It clears the 2nd A/C by about 5" and lies flat on the roof. Intallation took all of 5 minutes. Tuning works excellent, I have not had to rotate the antenna at all so far and the picture is clear and crisp. Seems to be worth the money as far as I'm concerned.

thanks trirboy. I had the same problem you did with clearance to the 2nd air conditioner. Had to take the wingman off to travel. Will give Jack a try.
Does the head rest on the rubber roof or the rest built for the factory installed antenna? I don't want to rub a hole in the roof!!!

OK I just ordered one 3 to 4 weeks for delivery it looks simple enugh to put on.
Trlrboy I wont need to run that 110 VAC decoder box with this new antenna is this right? That is the one reason I bought it. get rid of some of that unecessary electronic stiff.

Trailer Trash, I think that this is just an amplified antenna like the one installed on your rig now probably. I don't think that it will make your analog tv a digital one, therefore, yep you will still need the decoder box until you replace the tv with a new one with digital tuner.

The new antenna sits just like the old one in the same spot so it's not right on the roof at all.

Also, this will not help you eliminate a decoder box. If you do not have a digital TV this antenna will not work without the box. Considering the price of digital HD TVs has dropped so much in the last couple of years, this might be the time for a new TV!

I notice that a lot of folks are buying new TV antennas, but we've never had a problem with our original equipment. To be sure, we had to buy the converter box, but we get a razor sharp picture with the old antenna.

This looks like a very easy upgrade that may be in our future. Thanks for the information.

We got our new "JACK" today and are very happy with it. We had the standard Winegard and had added the Wingman which helped but our biggest complaint was it was very directional and where we are now I had to get out of my comfy chair and rotate the antenna when I switched networks. Now with the Jack, WOW the signal strength is much better and I can access all networks without rotating the antenna back and forth. I would definitely give the Jack an A+++++++++++, well worth the money. We ordered this from Rvupgradestore and received it in 2 days.

Thanks to Illipah for letting us know about the Jack

Charlie,
Thanks for the update. We wanted to order one but were waiting on a report or two on how it worked. We too have the standard Winegard with a Wingman that we got at Qsite. The Wingman does help, but you are right it is still very directional. We are currently at the rally at Lake Siskiyou and will order a "Jack" when we get home next week.

2 day update on Jack. I don't want anyone to have unreal expectations based on my previous report. While the signal strength is improved our iffy channel is still a little iffy, not perfect but still better. As I stated before the big deal for us is that the Winegard batwing is terribly directional the Jack is not so based on this it was worth the money for us.
