BATTERY BOX...BLACK FRIDAY

Just found this.....Blue Sea Systems Battery Box 4021 for two 6 volt golf cart batteries. I thought it was a good price so I am passing it on. Here is the link: ReddenMarine The code is "bf2009" which gives you 20% off. On the left, under shop departments, click "Electrical", then on the right under "Batteries" click "Boxes" and scroll down to the 4021. The sale ends at 11:59 p.m. 30 Nov.

Jack-- Didn't notice any vent holes in the top of that box for the golfcart batteries. Do they not need any vent setup on them. I don't know since I have the heavy duty wetcell Interstate battery in my unit! Inquiring minds need to know!

AGM Golf Cart batteries do not need vents. They do have a rubber valve in the top of the case and normally have a slight positive pressure. They are used in sealed environment such as weather stations, navigational aids, mini subs and other applications where extreme exposures require complete isolation from the external environment. They don't spill even if cracked. The only downside is they usually have lower cranking amps due to the smaller exposure of the plates to the electrolyte.

Rondo,
You are correct, the box does not have vents. When I get it I will modify it so that it vents just like the box I currently have for my one 12 Volt. Others on this site have done the same for theirs. I will be getting two 6 Volt wet cell golf cart batteries as well.
