Added pump switch by step

I do not like to travel down the road with the water pump on all the time. As anyone with a 2002 3295RK will know you need to leave the switch on if you want to use the restroom as you can not get to the switch without running out the kitchen slide. Now I will leave the swich on for the pump when I pack up to move, but will turn off the switch by the step. That way when you walk in the use the restroom you can turn on the pump and shut it off when you go out the door.

Larry,
We have the identical rig. Like you we do not like to travel with the water on but we do. Would really like to have a switch like you've installed. That is so much better. Looks like a really simple and straight forward alteration.
Thanks for sharing.

Nice solution for those afflicted with that particular lack of planning by the designer. ...they should make them drag one around for a week and set-up/tear-down 5 times a day while they live in it. I bet a lot of goofy switch locations would get relocated if they did.

I have the same unit and installed a switch just inside the water pump door for when we are on the road. It works very well as long as no one shuts off the main switch in the back of the unit.

Wow - it must be nice to be able to get to the water pump without being a double jointed contortionist! On the other hand, our pump switch is mounted next to the bathroom, so I guess I shouldn't complain. I have thought about mounting another switch in our convenience center though.

I mounted a switch in the toilet room on ours. Handy for those times needed in the middle of the night. Used just a regular 110V stick house switch. When it is "on" the regular indicator light indicates that, so it gets our attention if we forget to turn it off. I also added one on the outside shower compartment.

Also added a 110V outlet in the toilet room right beside it and we plug in a nite light there.
