Let me see if I can do this..... Go to your online directtv account....sign in..scroll to the very bottom of the page....click on site map..scroll down to support....select sound and picture..click on call customer service x-711...click on referesh your service...your service is back. You can do this anytime you have lost service or programming is missing.....
BTW..We take two Directv receivers from the stick house with us to florida or one receiver when traveling for short periods. Been doing that for a very long time..

Thanks, Orv. How do you know where to point the dish?

After you;ve done it a few times, you have a general idea of what direction the satellite is. Using a "satellite finder" (Radio Shack - $30) you can readily find the satellite and tweak your antenna. I'm assuming you're using an antenna sitting on the ground (or tripod).

I haven't even gotten that far, Orv. I'm set to order Dish Network, but just in the planning stages as far as setting up for Monty.

I have the Dish Reciever 322. It is the type that gives you 2 rooms of viewing different channels.
Can this reciever be utilized in the Monty and have satellite TV downstairs and in the bedroom at the same time without doing any changing of the wires or new wires, or would one still need 2 recievers.
thanks
Allen

OK, got Dish TV, a tripod, and a dish for Monty. Thinking about setting up a suction attachment like jjflash. Can't wait to play with it, but we're currently under 12" of snow, with more on the way, so it may be awhile. Thanks for all the help and suggestions, more later.

I have used both and found that they are both good for a couple years then the price tends to go up a little every couple months. Besides that if you full time in the Monty with dish you have to buy the equipment and cannot get some options, with direct they have a package just for rvers all you have to do is ask. I found that direct is easier to set up in uper mid west but dish was easier in the south.
