Happy Camper--This is definitely the end!!

Well, even though Charles Wade didn't come through, someone else at Keystone and Bish's did, and we are happy campers. Even the problem with the remote is solved.

The drawer under the sofa will be fixed the next time we get to idaho Falls, but since it's not an emergency, we won't make a special trip there to have the rails reset.

Regarding the television: a Keystone rep told me that they can't get the ViewSonic TV's now, and putting a different brand in has been a problem because the other brands don't fit exactly perfectly in some of the older Montana TV cutouts. So, while my set sticks out a bit, it doesn't bother me. It is a new set; I have the paperwork on it.

The closet door mystery has also been solved. Charles couldn't find the problem at the rally, but I did yesterday: the screws in the bottom track are stripped, so the track is higher than it should be. That's why "my" door won't close. As soon as I get different screws, I'll replace those myself.

Cindy, the service manager at Bish's, was as nice and helpful as always. (Hope she and Janet L. stay at that service counter--they are good customer service people.)

Boy, life is good again!

Gosh, Waynem, I started feeling a bit under the weather today. I imagine that by March, I'll REALLY need to stay home from work and recover!

Sometimes it just takes a little prodding. If you get on the road and head East and get close to WV, stop in and say hello. Kerry

Glad to hear that they are stepping up to the plate. January is a good time to recover at Quartzite then we can work on Wayne to install an inverter so he will take along his machine.

We are headed to Yellowstone in the morning and, surprise, will get to meet another MOC couple: Gramps and his wife. They were going this weekend, also. I think two couples qualify as a "mini-rally"! We'll be at the same campground, too. If any other MOCers are staying at the Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park, look for us. We do have one of those wonderful MOC member metal signs that Doug was selling at 7 Feathers, and it will be hanging from our hitch.

On the road again . . . we love it!

So glad you're back on the road. You are looking a little pale - could you be getting sick?

What a non-routine nightmare you went through, but you hung in there and finally won.
Your attitude has been great.
Way to go.

I'm not sure everyone would agree with you about that attitude! Some people think I've been a pain in the . . . elbow, to put it politely. I thought I'd been gracious, kind, understanding, etc., but feathers have been ruffled. Charles Wade, he-who-is-missing-in-action, didn't help any the situation (fuel on the fire comes to mind).

Carolyn,
Glad to hear that things are coming together for you and the rig and that you will getting back on the road again. It's disappointing to hear that Charles didn't do more for you....he seemed very willing to help when he was at the rally. But you know what they say "actions speak louder than words". Do the screws for the bottom track on your closet screw into wood? If so, have you tried filling the holes with glue and toothpicks, letting it dry and then reinstalling the screws?
Jack

Good idea--I'd forgotten that trick, but to tell you the truth, I just assumed the screws went into something metal. I can't see down into the hole, even with a flashlight, but tomorrow I'm going out with the glue and toothpicks and give that a try. I know it works well on cabinets.

Thanks for the reminder!

If the screws are in metal, sometimes stuffing the hole with steel wool will tighten them up. Maybe even wind it around the screw threads.
