New here.....
Hello all. We've been in our new Mountaineer fifth wheel a week and a half now. Hopefully we'll head to the lower coast in TX around the first of 2007. We are parked at our place here now, working out any kinks, and waiting til Xmas is past. (Kids and grand-kids here) We hope to travel to the coast where it is a little warmer, and waste the winter away fishing and such. Maybe to Colorado in late spring.

Okay, I'm jealous!! Welcome to the Moc family. These people are the greatest friends I've never actually met! Look forward to your posts of all your adventures and such. Like the name. There's a post alittle while ago about what our user names mean. I bet you have a story about yours. I grew up in Colorado. (well, I'm not sure if I'll ever really grow up!! LOL ) If you have any questions or problems or suggestions just jump right in! Happing RVing!! Sounds like you have a good plan. Be safe out there when you get on the road.

Thanks all for the warm welcome. Lots of good reading here. We moved up to the Mountaineer from a 28' travel trailer. (it got small real quick) I've got to get used to pulling and backing the 5er, as it is a little different. I know I am definately going to enjoy this site.

Hey everyone,
I am officially a new member, and looking forward to "meeting" everyone, and learning about my Tana. I traded in my Fleetwood Terry 34P TT recently for a 2007 Montana 3475RL 5er. I've never traveled with a trailer before, just had the last one delivered to a campground and there it stayed. This one, I plan on traveling with, and hope to be a full timer by next fall. I drove semi for UPS and was injured on the job.
I purchased a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab 4x4 Diesel to pull the new baby with, and I'm beside myself with excitement about taking this vacation south!!
If all goes well, I want to head out in January for a few weeks. I'll admit, I'm nervous too...I just really need to research this dry docking stuff, and what I should do about camping in freezing weather until I drive into the warmth.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and again I look forward to meeting everyone.

Great to have you folks as new members. Assume you are from Texas. It is great to have another Lone Star participant. Best of luck.

Jan, Welcome to the MOC. Always good to see new members jumping right in with a post. Great floor plan you have chosen. We love our 3475RL and spend eight or nine months a year in our Montana. We find it very livable and cozy with our fireplace. Enjoy your new wheel estate!
