Stains on rubber roof

We have rust and green stains coming from the water from the air conditioner on our rubber roof! Anyone know how to remove without damaging the rubber roof??

Those stains will do no harm to your roof. You will do more harm than good by trying to get it off. The only way you can see it is to get up on the roof. The best thing you can do is forget about it.

I agree! Don't worry, be happy! There have been many discussions on cleaning the roof

I'm younger, still nimble, and don't mind getting up on the roof. I don't see where scrubbing on the rubber membrane hurts a thing as I've done it on 3 Montanas without issue. The membrane is made to oxidize as it takes the sun ... that's what the white stuff running of the roof is when you do clean it. Anyways for tough stains ... Protec All rubber roof cleaner has worked the best for me with Camco or Thetford rubber roof cleaners alternates (latter two found at Wally World). Alot of people rave about Dawn dish soap ... it does work on general dirt, but doesn't really get stains out. If you use a soft bristle brush and a little water, work it in, then let Protect All sit a few minutes on the tough stains ... it helps. I also rub in some Aerospace 303 2-3 times a year after I clean the roof ... it has UV protectant in it and kinda sorta acts as a stain retardant.

Hi

Ours came off when we had the roof cleaned by a company that installs new rubber roofs. It really looked good for a couple of weeks now they are back. LOL
