We have stayed a couple of times at Bonita Lakes RV in Meridian, MS. It is a relatively new campground and we found it quite acceptable for our overnights.
In Atlanta we have always stayed at Stone Mountain--many, many times over the years. If you do make that choice, we always follow I-20 right through town to the Intersection with I-385. We've never had any trouble although this is surely one of the busiest freeways in the country. Just keep focused on the next-to-right lane until you get to Exit 39B which is US78--a right lane exit. That will take you right out to Stone Mountain. One day when we had some extra time, we bought a ticket to the attractions inside the park and had a great time.
We've never stayed in Florence, so can't give any personal recommendations. However, I note there is a KOA to the north and Swamp Fox RV to the south. Looks like either would be acceptable.
