Hiway 50--West VA

Can anyone tell me if this is a good route if you want to be adventruesome and not go on the interstate. Any good camping places? We plan on going the first of May

Jan, US 50 was the first road where we went half way across the country while avoiding interstates and is the road that convinced us we much prefer US highways over interstates. We took US 50 from in Virginia, across WV, all the way to Kansas City. WV is a beautiful state and US 50 is a great way to enjoy that beauty. It is a squiggly road in much of the state but we had no problems towing a Montana through there. It has been a few years since we were on the road but the roads were generally good and the traffic pretty light. It was a pretty relaxing and enjoyable trip. We will do this road again one of these days. I hope you and Paul enjoy the ride.
