How long does it take you to replace the toilet?

If you are half blind and doing it in the dark, 3hrs with a 40 mile round trip to Home Depot after 2hrs trying to fix a leak that shouldn't have been.

The black washer in the screw on OE fitting wasn't black, it was just a dark hole! The white washer stuck to the old toilet. Grumble...

Dometic 310 now installed with the upgraded seat. Woo hoo.

Just made that change myself, except I got lucky. The hardest part of the job for me was moving my water shutoff to the basement (no room between toilet intake and the floor) and moving the cabinet door behind the toilet up a half an inch. Love the new toilet. I'm sure somewhere there are toilet engineers and Dometic seems to have some who better understand the flow of things.

Welcome to the world of better! I tried to use the original water inlet fitting when I did the change. Leaks. Then I cut it off and put new, better fitting...made a new shorty adapter hose to account for the change in toilet inlet position. Life has been great ever since. And I got a nice new pex ring crimping tool at the same time. John

How long does it take? Depends on if someone is sitting on it or not!

Those new pex valves and connectors where the hose just slips in and it's connected are really great. Pull back on a ring and they come apart. I changed out an old toilet in about 30 minutes. The new toilet had a lower inlet and I wanted a shutoff valve behind the toilet so the valve and 3 elbows all had these new connections. No leaks. Just cut the pex to the right length. No wrenching on plastic compression nuts hoping they stay tight. Great invention.
