Allentown PA to Fredricksburg VA 12/07

Hello:

We will be traveling from Allentown PA to Fedricksburg VA in late December.

I am looking for suggestions getting around Baltimore & Washington DC

I printed a mapquest that shows taking I-78W to I-81S to I-83S to US-15S to US40/I-270S to I-495/I-395 Capital Beltway eventually on to I-95S.

I'm not sure about US-15 South in PA ??

Would it make better sense to Take I-78 to I-476S to I-495S to I-95S

Go around Baltimore on I-695 and rejoin I-95 South of Baltimore ?

Thanks

I 78w to I 81s to I 66e below Winchester, Virginia
I 66e to Rte 17
Rte 17 to Friedricksburg
When I lived in Reading I used this route many many times.
It completely avoids Wash/Baltimore

Glenn:

Thanks very much for the route clarification -- we will be staying in a motel in Allentown for one night on our way to Florida.

A long-time friend took an early retirement from Verizon and he and wife just opened a coffee and desert shop in Whitehall --

We normally see them over the holiday's, but it does not look like they will be coming North this year and we are heading south right after XMAS, so I wanted to know the best way to get back on track and also around Baltimore & Washington.

We are planning on coming to the rally next spring -- so maybe we can meet you and Lorraine then.

Thanks
