E Space heater
My son and I plan a bowhunt in northern Nebraska next week for 6 days. I would like to cut back on propane use with my new Big Sky 3455SA. What would you consider the absolute best electric space heater? Also any downfalls for using the electric fireplace while out all day...would like to come back to a reasonably warm coach in the evening.

I haven't needed one yet, but I've read where a lot of people use the ceramic heaters as the cabinet stays cool and they have auto shutoffs if tipped over. In our house we use the oil filled radiator style for some space heat.

We got one that is small so it fits in the bottom shelf of the table between the recliners. It has two settings and stays cool to touch.
Be careful not to get two on the same circuit. You will pop a breaker.
Also if freezing temps, do not rely only on elec heaters because you need some furnace heat to get to holding tanks and valves so they do not freeze. Using one or two above freezing does work great!

We use two 1500 watt heater plus the fireplace. These work good unless it gets lower than 25 degrees outside. Anything below 25, we use the furnace to keep water lines from freezing.

We were out in some colder climate this last week in our Mountaineer TT. We carry a couple of the small ceramic 1500W 3 heat level heaters that work very well. I have learned that an extra cord snaked in thru the lower tip gasket and to the park's extra 20A receptacle on the post prevents tripped coach breakers from running the heater(s) when needed - just a trick.

We have an oil filled heater that looks like a radiator. It works great and will shut off if tipped.

We have an elec. that looks like a wood stove, got it from Sams for $79.00. We will set the furnace to come on if it gets real cold for the tanks, also use the furnace in AM before getting up, (makes it nice & warm).
