SOLAR CONNECTION

I have a 3280RL 2003. I mounted my solar system using #10 wire. I came down the black tank vent tube. I'm using a Morningstar ProStar 20 amp controller. Can I hook directly into the 12v side of the electrical panel off the controller using the system wiring and get the same or better results rather than going directly to the batteries? The solar system itself puts out a max of 10 amps.
