Hershey - Poor showing

We went to the show hoping to see the 3610 and the three Big Sky units. We were totally disappointed when the only unit there was the 382. And, it was in poor condition for a show of this magnitude. We spent our time looking at SOBs that intrigued us.

I would expect many Montana's at a big show like Hershey

Have to agree with Chip. We did not feel Montana was very represented at the Hersey Show either.

Went to the RV show in Dallas last weekend. Only one Montana dealer in the immediate area and they were there, but with only one big Sky and two Montanas. And at least as many Alpines.

Not so hot at last years Tampa show either. Good number of rigs but the keystone reps were not active with show attendees and had no brochures to hand out (first day) and made you feel like they were doing you a favor by answering questions. Maybe they did better the second day.

In addition to the Big Sky on display at Hershey I think they had at about 5 other models. On Sunday we were the 110th couple to buy a Montana at the show and according to them that was and increase from previous years.

I guess if they're selling them like that, they don't have to put out all that much effort.

With Camping World and other big dealers selling Montana these shows do not benefit Montana all that much any more. From my understanding the Hershey Show is used to test out some of the newer models for most manufacturers with new features and then they bring the feedback to incorporate changes to get ready for the big shows in the spring like Tampa.

We chose not go this year since we just purchased the 3610 in April and sounds like we made the right choice.

Hopefully not an indication of their commitment to all shows. I was looking forward to a good showing in Pomona in a few weeks.
