Cottonwood Creek RV Park
Near Dripping Springs, Texas. It's fairly new and has a lot of trees. Has anyone been there? Any comments on roof RV exposure concerning the trees?

I have not been there. As for trees it depends on time of year. certain times of the year trees drop sap. That can be a bear to clean up.
Google maps show what looks to be a a quarry on each side of them. If you are close enough yo may want to do a drive by. From a sat view some of the sites looks nice, but some may be hard to get in. Interesting their video almost show nothing about the park itself.

We've stayed at Cottonwood
We stayed at Cottonwood two consecutive winters. It's a nice central spot for exploring the hill country. Management was friendly. Park is no frills with several long timers. It recently expanded adding about 20 more sites, I believe. The winters of 15-16 and 16-17 we stayed about 8 miles down the road at The Blanco Settlement, also a nice place. Only 21 sites but all on the banks of the Blanco River. Very great owners. If you want to spend a winter there you'll have to reserve before August. If you have questions, send a P.M. I'll be glad to help.

Right. I have looked at it on Google Earth. Hence the question about tree clearance. Some campgrounds have a strict policy that no low hanging branches can be snipped so as to provide clearance for the high RVs. Others keep the low hanging branches trimmed up. I do see that Blanco Settlement has pretty much no tree issues whereas Cottonwood might. Just interested in folks take. We need a spot for about a week in September near Spicewood/Dripping Springs/Driftwood area. Cottonwood Creek looked nice.

Cottonwood
Trees were not an issue when we were there. We did ask the manager to snip a few close branches on one side which he did immediately.

We carry a snipper but some parks have trees that are protected so no clipping is allowed. Canyon of the Eagles is one that has protected trees. We had to ask for a different site in December.
