Need info on Convection-microwave oven Got her now
Hello all.
Our Stick house microwave needs magnetrons, so I think I'll scrap the Panasonic and get a Half Time oven.
Where did some of you get replacement units?
What size were they? 1.7 cu ft, 2.0, 1.2 ????
I'm looking at Lowe's, and saw many around $500. Ouch!
Still looking,,,,,,,,,,,,
Thanks, Ozz

The house sized good 1/2 time ovens are not cheap..Lowes, Home Depot, best buy. We need to have one for the stick house.

Ozz - check Sears as well, they have multiple brands.
They are pricey - I actually found one at Sears that is a close replacement for the Monty - but it's almost $600. Still think I'll just do a microwaver replacement.

Jim
I've done extensive research and everything I find that is half time is very pricey. We've decided if we have to replace the one in the Monty, (it is working right now) we will go with a Microwave Convection Combo. And even those are hard to find. Even the pricey half times I found are too large for the Monty or cannot be enclosed. If you find something be sure and report back.
Happy trails...................

Well.......being the impatient person that I am, I bought one in 2 hrs flat........ I checked at Lowe's, Home Despot, Sam's Club, Sears scratch and dent, then went to Sears regular store, found the Sears Convection, Microwave combo for $270.00 with tax, 1.5 Cu ft. The Kenmore Elite White Model # 67902, item #02067902000
Many were $400-$700, I doubt it would fit in a Monte, but we needed one here.
My cost for one Magnetron is $60.00 wholesale, needed Two, and the Panasonic was just a 17 amp 120volt 1998 model, so pretty old.
Hope that helps Y'all..........
