We have had ours since Dec 2010...We have not had any issues with our decals. We have used our 3400 a total of approx seven months...from this year on, probably close to eight months a year; store it in the open, uncovered; wash it often, by hand...no power tools; exposure to both high temps in Florida and low temps in Maine.

We had an 02 Montana travel trailer that all decals peeled with 2 years of ownership. We stored outside, used recommended wash on the vehicle typically twice a year. Montana did replace the decals for us but after another 2-3 years we noticed the same issue. We got rid of it in 09. Our current Montana fiver is 6 months old, so far so good, but I'm crossing my fingers.

06 Montana 3400 used hard in all environments. Not a issue at all with our graphics. There is no rhyme or reason why one will have no problem and the next guy will. We have nevr waxed the camper and only wash it with Dawn. We are long timers and all over the country.

Problem: Cap nearly totally peeled, street side, especially on the bedroom slide over 50% gone. Montana name on rear just starting to curl. Curbside is perfect.
Age at occurance: Started about 2 1/2 years after we got it.
Home location (state/prov): Virginia
Yearly usage: 20-30 days mostly in Virginia but have been to PA to Fl out to Indiana
When not used: Outdoor storage facility - The front and street side are predominately in the sun. The curbside, which is still in very good condition gets very little sun. what sun it gets is at a very slight angle to the side (mostly from directly overhead). Streetside and cap get alot of sun at near 90 degrees to the surface.
Washed: once a year using a the spray and dry RV wash/wax.

2007 3400RL, purchased 8/06. No problems, looked good as new when we sold it in 12/10. Kept the front decal well protected with Protect All. Used all over the south for three months a year, kept in covered storage.

2005 298RL Mountaineer started peeling in 2 years. Mostly front and door side. Had to completely remove the "Mountaineer by Montana" decals from the front and side. So far just trimmed the edges of the mountains on the front but need to remove them. Decals on the rest of the trailer are showing shrinkage and cracks but no peeling so far.
Contacted Keystone in 2008 and was told "Sorry, out of warranty."
Used around the midwest 30 - 40 days per year.
Washed twice a year, decals never waxed.
Stored uncovered.

'07 3400. Bought new in 08 from dealer lot. Was OK for the first year, then the front started peeling. Now the front is peeling at an accelerated pace. Just turning brittle and crumbling off. So far, no trouble with the sides or back. Washed twice a year with proper RV approved liquid soap. Never waxed. When not out, stored under pole barn cover. No other special treatment. MAYBE when front is gone, have new graphic painted on????

There is an '08 3400 at the local Camping World lot in Hillsboro (OR) that has had the front graphic removed completely. Looks rather "naked".......big bare "white" wall.......!

front & driver side decals started 'shrinking' at 2 years. Back & curb side at 3.

I'm thinking of making monochrome stackers out of duct tape. I will not replace them with another set that's going to start disintegrating in 2 years.

We were also very lucky with our 2005 3475rl... We used it well across the US, Canada and Mexico in the four years we had it and still looked like new when we got the Big Sky with the full body paint. I will say that we did not have it in freezing weather though..

our 2005 Mountaineer bought in 2004 started to have some cracking of the decals on one side, the side that go the most sun in storage when it was about 4 years old.

our 2010 that we bought in 2009 started to get cracks in them when they were only a couple of months old. They were replaced under warranty

Same hear as the rest of the members. I've started removing some of the worst side graphics that were pealing the most. I'll have to say it's not really that noticeable.

2008 Montana 3585SA.
Was stored outside in MD, now in VA.
Trips all up and down the east coast.
Parked and used as weekend getaway when not on the road.
Used about 9-10 months out of the year.
Wash 4 or 5 times a year and waxed once a year.
Decals were starting to have issues from day one.
Removed front decals last year, front cap looks bare.
Remaining decals are starting to curl up and peel.
After removing the front large decal, the ghost of the decals remains :-(

Add me to the list of those with graphics problems. 07 Mountaineer 307RKD. Noticed peeling about a year ago, and now it looks terrible. Mainly the front cap and "curb" side on the front. Stored outside all the time uncovered. Washed 3 or 4 times a year but not waxed. The front cap is exposed to the sun most of the day, but I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Just got new grahics from Keystone but have not installed them yet. Knowing how I do things, I will probably wait until it is 90+ degrees to get around to it. No sense doing things the easy way, right?

I had some model boats that I built & applied decals to them. But, I Clear coated them too. After 10 years & in water, they look like new.
Makes me wonder, if we would clear coat the Montana decals, they might stay on forever??

Just a thought...something has to happen...you would think Keystone would investigate this.

Yes, I have peeling decals also, dealer called Keystone & got approval for replacements on my rig. Just the right side..only 4 decals. It seems to happen to the decals that are facing the sun most of the time. The front was replaced last year by Keystone. The dealer has helped me with all situations.

Problem: peeling graphics front cap & sides
Age at occurance: 2 yrs
Home location (state/prov): Pennsylvania
Yearly usage: 40 days mostly Pennsylvania and surrounding states
When not used: uncovered at home but covered for the winter from October until April.
Washed: Frequently as needed.

Not sure what I am going to do. While at the fall rally last year (2010), Keystone looked at the problem. They gave me a paper to circle all of the graphics that needed to be replaced. Turned that in before we left. Still waiting for resolution, yea or nay.
