Quartzsite Montana Rally Aerial Photo 1/16/2010

Here is a aerial photo of the Montana Quartzsite Rally taken by a very nice man, Tom Doerr, who thought we had a unique idea. What do you think?

For those wishing their own copy:

Firetrucker is due to be here tomorrow (Sunday), they had to contend with weather in the Sierras. We may have another photo to post later when we finalize the circle, we have several people who may take another aerial photo.

Answer to Question 2: Careful parking and free driving lessons! Guess you forgot, I was trucker at one time like you.

Jack, wish you and Terry were here for the Number 1 MOC Rally....you know, ....the free one!

What a wonderful group. Wish we could be there to enjoy. We leave in a couple of weeks for Hawaii, our 40th anniversary and DW gets to do what she wants because she has put up with me all these years.

Hopefully next year Robbie, right now the 5er is in the shop getting the grey tank repaired and a leaking hydro hose replaced, getting ready for Texas. Have fun and I'm looking forward to more of those great pictures especially the aerials.

Robbie, Great Picture!!!! Your Montana is easy to spot as it is the only one with the six solar panels on the top. Is that you headed for the center??? Sure looks like a great venue for a lot of good times. Wish we were there but will have to settle living vicariously thru you. Keep us posted on the "Good Times"!!!!

Another "very nice".

I can see the line you drew to try and line up the Montanas when they parked. Did you make that perfect circle like the "UFO crop" artists do or did you have a center point and run a line around it making the circle?

Hopefully we'll also be part of that circle in the future.. as soon as we get our kids moved off to Denver, our kitchen remodel all done, our bills paid down... etc..... *LOL. Oh-oh, doesn't sound like we'll make it to the "Q" any time soon.

Have fun and we love the pictures.

The secret to how the circle is built is reserved for participants, past and future Wagonmasters, and our secret UFOs.

I just figured out the secret for the circle!!!!!!

The standard form equation of a circle is a way to express the definition of a circle on the coordinate plane.

* Remember that a circle is a locus of points. A circle is all of the points that are a fixed distance, known as the radius, from a given point, known as the center of the circle.
* On the coordinate plane, the formula becomes (X-H)2 + (Y-K)2=r2
o h and k are the x and y coordinates of the center of the circle
o (x-9)2 + (y-6)2=100 is a circle centered at (9,6) with a radius of 10

Oh man, now you did it....the secret is out! You keep that up and they'll make you a wagonmaster.
