He pulled his SUV off and went to dinner.

The MH, Boat and SUV all had Texas registration. I guess they really do "do it big" in Texas.

On Edit...
Just met the owner, Alton Jones. Turns out he is a Pro fisherman on the Bassmasters Elite tour and is the 2008 Bassmaster Classic Champion. Check out his website at altonjones.com.
Having been a Life Member of Bassmasters for many years and attending many a tournament and met many a Pro this is the first time I ever met a classic champion one on one. It's just a shame they will be pulling out first thing in the morning. I only got to talk to him for am half hour but it sure reminded me of how much I miss my smallie fishin.

That looks like the perfect solution to me! No more worries about triple tow to get all the toys to the lake!

Now that has to be the end all to the endless question. Do I tow the house or do I drive it and tow ALL my other vehicles (so one is a boat)...yeah like Carol said...Wow!

Wait...Bingo needs this, right?

Boy, he's going to have to back that trailer pretty far into the water to float that boat off!!

AND we were running west on I-90 this afternoon and I saw another rig just like it. This one also had a bass boat on top. Alton Jones had said he was heading for a Bassmasters tournament on Lake Erie in Buffalo, NY. Could be this guy was a Pro as well and heading for the same tourny. Also saw at least another 1/2 dozen bass boats heding in the same direction.

You folks in the Buffalo area may want to check out this tourny if for no other reason than to see these rigs.

How do you get the boat off the towed trapeze?

I can't imagine the trip planning he has to do to make sure he is under everything. He must be up around 15 ft or so. Just think, he probably claims all that off as a business expense!!!

The top drops down so he can hook it up to the Jeep.

If you look at the front and rear arms, there are hydraulic cylinders in there and an electric winch on top. Its a modified car hauler, and the upper platform lowers and tips to the back - I think.

Murf and Brad, thanks for the clarification. I suspected it was something like that, but I could not tell from the pictures how it worked. Nice rig, best of both worlds in the class A world, tow your TOAD and your boat with one trailer! We should take up professional fishing! Tim

He removes the SUV and the hydraulic system moves the boat to the rear and down. The bow of the boat comes down between the rails where the raer of the SUV would have been and the rear of the boat is just a few inches off the ground. With ramps attached the winch rolls the boat and trailer off the rack.
Kinda sorta like that.
