National Forests will handle big rigs now
As far as places that will handle our Montanas:
Allegheny National Forest in Pa. Either Dewdrop, Red Bridge or Kiasutha campground will handle them with many sites.
Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky has Twin Knobs(216sites) and Zilpo and both of these will handle them with ease.
In Indiana, the Hoosier Recreation Area will take them with ease.
In Alabama, the William Bankhead National Forest will take big rigs in two campgrounds and each of them have hook-ups. One has water and electric at every site and the other has full hook-ups at every site. Golden Age applies as well.
In Pisgah National Forest in NC there are several campgrounds that will handle any rig you want to drive there. There is Davidson River in Pisgah Forest, Lake Powhatan near Biltmore at Asheville, North Mills River at Mills River and Black Mountain and Carolin Hemlock right at the foot of Mt. Mitchell. They are all in the Pisgah National Forest.
In Texas, Sam Houston National Forest has Clear Creek campground that will handle big rigs.
Most National Forests and Parks have been up grading the size of their sites in recent years. Also many of them are adding electric sites where they didn't have any before.
Hope this helps. Cal
