Ozz - Here's the one I purchased in AZ this winter: http://www.portablewatersoftener.com/
We've had softeners in our stick houses for the last 30 years and will probably always have one unless the water is soft to begin with. Made a big difference on AZ water!! I think most of the units you cited are very similar and would be suitable - probably the only difference is the amount of resin in the tank and construction of the fittings. After reading the web page, I agree that the water stick would be a PITA - the others are so easy to recharge a cave man could do it.

Ozz, we have a Travelsoft and have used it a few times. It makes a world of difference in certain regions of the country. The only downside is that it uses either rock salt or solar salt which can be a little hard to find in some areas.

We have used the Travelsoft for over two years now. Got it at Camping World and we are very happy with it. We by the salt in 40# bags and it lasts forever. We use it every time we hook up to water.
