Convection/Microwave Oven

In the topic about "Generators" mobilrvn mentioned the use of a convection oven in their 3575. Who else has one and did you order your Monty that way or did you install it as a replacement for the original microwave? Particulars would be nice, i.e. Brand, cabinet modifications, amps, etc.

At the time we ordered our 2980 last year, there was a gas oven shortage. So our Monty was delivered with a micro/convection oven and a nice storage area where the gas oven would have been. Thought I would miss a "real" oven, but now wouldn't exchange our set up. Just love the micro/convection oven once I trained myself on how to properly use it and would miss the extra storage space.

We just got our 2005 3475. It has a Microwave /convection oven. Didn't order it, it just came that way.

I believe all the 2005s are coming with the convection/microwave. As mentioned this started last year during the oven shortage. These ovens are a little different than the one we have in the house. The house unit allows a combination of convection and microwave to be used but the "Half Time" units in the Montys are either one or the other but not a mix.

We have one I believe the brand name is Apolo? I have used the microwave but not the half oven yet. We never ordered it, it came with it along with it. We also have a stove.

We have the microwave combo and the stove to. I don't even use the stove at home let alone in the Monty. I am a Micro kind of girl. Got so use to the microwave that I use it for everything. I even cook corn on the cob in it.

Paul barbaques and I use the microwave for everything else. We also use all paper products so as to cut down on the dishwashing. I just don't do much in the way of old fashioned housework....LOL I have it down pat. We go to Costco and just stock up on all the china products including the silverware...LOL

We would not miss the oven part of the stove. I will bet we have not used the oven in any of our campers a total of 10 times.Have never seen one that maintained a constant temp.If we can order one without the oven we will do so.. Kathi and Paul..you operate like Rich and Helen.

Our 2004 Monty was one the dealer had on his lot. It came with just the microwave and stove. We had our previous 5th for 10 years---used the stove once. We use the burners, gas grill and best of all we go out and eat. Lazy in our old age .

We got the oven and the half time oven (microwave). Terrie uses everything in the kitchen, including the stove. I get to light it, though.
