I agree with changing out the heavy chairs. My wife and I went to the Lazy-Boy Showroom and found a pair of Ratan recliners that look and work great. The two draw backs I found for any chair in the back window area are: Hitting the window when reclining as mentioned earlier, and the chair handle getting hooked on the slide end cap when opening of slides after travel. We picked a couple of brown tropical patterened Ratan recliners, love'em.

We replaced our recliners with a sofa. LOVE IT! Much more seating area. Much lighter than recliners and simple to position for travel. (slide about 3" toward rear window and slides clear)
