Location of certified weight

In order to register our 2009 Model 3455 in South Dakota, I am in need of a certificate of empty weight. I was told that there is a plaque mounted inside one of the cabinets but not able to find it. I have been told that a photo of this info including VIN is acceptable. I do not have the original certificate of lading that ould also be acceptable. Where can I find this info?

There should be 2 places. The first location is the RVIA sticker on the driver's side of the rig near the front (It's also called the Tire and Loading Information label and also includes the VIN). It should also include the axle weights. The second location is in an inside upper cabinet door in the kitchen. Open each upper cabinet door and the sticker would be on the inside of one of the swing out doors.

The RVIA sticker has been a requirement over the past few years and your 2009 definitely falls into that category. I don't know how long the kitchen cabinet door location has been required but if there isn't one it could be because the door fell off and when it was replaced by the prior owner the sticker went with it.

I hope this helps, but on my 2006 this is where the labels are located.

Look at the inside/bottom of the screen door. I have a label there that gives the unloaded weight of the rig.

That is a new one for us. We are South Dakota residents. We have purchased and registered three new Montanas in South Dakota and the only weight certification needed was that listed on the certificate of origin.

By his signature, this is not a NEW Montana but one previously registered either in another state or to someone else. We have had to provide additional information when registering boat trailers and utility trailers when SD was not the original titler or registrar.
