MOC Spring Rally --Central Arizona! Sedona!
If you're anywhere near the West Coast this coming April then plan on attending the Annual MOC Spring Rally. The Spring Rally, unlike the Fall Rally, is held in different places. This year in the heart of Arizona. Beautiful country. If you've never visited the Red Rock Canyon area or the Sedona or Jerome townships then you're missing some wonderful experiences.
The RV Park of Distant Drums has been rated as one of the best in the country. Check the section on Rallies and get registered to attend the Spring Rally. See you there. Jack and Terry and Dennis and Mary Kay, WMs.

Second the notion of that being a great area to visit. We've twice stayed at Distant Drums, two months each time, and thoroughly enjoyed the area. Sedona, Oak Creek Canyon, standing on a corner in Winslow, AZ (take the mountain route), the beautiful drive from Jerome to Prescott on 89A, etc., etc.
If any of you geocachers who attend this rally manage to find Kokopelli's Thimble, please email or post pictures of exactly where you found it! We've tried twice and cannot find that one yet the person who put it there insists it is still there.
on edit - forgot to mention both Montezuma's Well and Montezuma Castle National Monument (cliff dwellings) are both very close to Camp Verde and Distant Drums. Plus all the beautiful scenery around Sedona. Some good hikes in that area, too.

Hamrad:
My wife and I will be back to Sedona caretaking the ranch again. I know where the RV park is located but I won't need a space since our FW will be set up on the ranch. Can My wife and I still attend? Not to repeat what has been already been said about the Red Rock Canyons and the local area, from Prescott to Jerome, to Sedona and Flagstaff, it is just beautiful scenery with plenty of local attractions and historical western sites to visit. Hope to meet you at this rally.

It might be a beautiful drive from Prescott to Jerome on 89A, but DON'T DRIVE IT IN AN RV. We did it once, but never again.

Ah Dennis it will be a great rally for sure. Wish we could make it. Not far from Camp Verde is Jerome. Haunted Hamburgers is great for lunch...really. Distant Drums is handy for everything and a casino across the highway to boot.

Nic's in Cottonwood is a great place for dinner. Monday nights is $3.50 Martini's, Wednesday nights the wine list is 1/2 price. Great wines, great food. Owned by the same people that have Haunted Hamburgers.
