CONVENIENCE CENTER/BASEMENT DOOR HOLDERS
We really got tired of the Convenience Center/Basement doors on the driver's side of the rig slamming opened and closed when we were getting stuff in and out or just working down there. So today I added a couple of "Door Holder Openers". It didn't take a whole lot of brain power to come up with, but I thought I would share anyway. Here is a link to the slide show with pictures and further explanation: Door Mod Slide Show

Nice job. Do you have the part number for the 90degree holder.

I bought the latches and bracket where I had the wet-bolt kit installed. The info on 90 degree bracket is:
Part# E250 (I paid less than $8.00)
RV Designer Collection
Ph: 800.938.5883
www.rvdesigner.com
The baggage door latches are made by Prime Products and I got a package of two for just a little over $5.00. I chose the chrome finish only because all the others on the rig are chrome.
I would think you should be able to find or order both at any RV dealer/parts place.
Jack

Excellent idea! I'm tired of having the wind blow the doors on my head.
Thanks much!

John, I made my own using a regular straight one and a little heat from a grill lighter. It's not as fancy but it works!

Great idea and a good job.
Little things like this should be a standard item for Keystone IMHO!

Jimmy,
Now that winter is setting in, I have been working on the "To-Do" list for the rig. I will be posting more just to make you envious Take care and we'll see you at Quartzsite.

Great idea. I just ordered the parts to do this on my 3400RL. For such a well engineered RV it's odd that these two doors are left flapping in the wind.

Well engineered??? They used to be a single door you had to lift up and hold with one hand bend over reach in just to rise or lower the landing gear. You see it hit the bottom of the bedroom slide when open.
It was re-engineered because the (MOC Members) told them what they thought of the single door/// NOT...
