Names, please
Good news! We are expecting ... a truck and a Montana, that is. We have bitten the bullet and have ordered our 2011 3500HD Silverado SRW and our 2010 Montana 3400RL. Like expectant parents, we are thinking about names. Aside from "Money Pit" which we all know would apply, we are looking for some creative ideas. We like the humorous tact. It would be fun to connect the names of the truck and RV. Any ideas out there?

First of all, welcome to the forum.
When we had the white Dodge Dually some friends of ours started calling it “The Great White.” If I used a comparable name for the Ford I would have to go with “Orc or orca” but that just don’t sound right. I just haven’t come up with a suitable name for the Ford yet. Maybe since it’s a diesel I’ll just go with “Stinker” or something like that.

Walt and Lynne
We have some friends who have "Bonnie and Clyde". Our 2nd pair was Thunder and Lightning - the 5th wheel being Thunder since thunder always follows lightning. We were not to original with our Montana, it is Monty. However, our intention was to name the truck after Monty Montana's (the cowboy)horse. But Ed began calling the truck "Brutus" so that is what he is. How about looking up famous couples and use one. Let us know what you decide.
Happy trails...................

We call ours "Bertha" and Big Red ..
My favorite grade school teachers name was Bertha, so we named our 2955 in her honor and Big Red is self explanatory

DW christened the Monty "Divine Odyssey". The truck, a GMC 3500 DRW, sort of by default, has become known as the BAT (Big A** Truck).

Both of ours are named "Betty" - Big Betty Ford and Betty Big Sky. You know, a "Betty" is your best girlfriend.

We traded in our boat for our first 5th wheel so we were already into naming our "vessels". We call ours simply The Casa which is short for Casa Del Sol - the house in the sun. If you have any interests or hobbies I would try to find something that reflects that. Good luck..let us know what you come up with!! Joanie

We call the Mountaineer the "Monster" because it is just so damn big (to us anyway). DW wanted to call the truck Doris but I vetoed that suggestion so it is still just "The Truck"

The truck is either called "Jimmy" or "Max" due to it being a GMC Duramax. The Monty (3400).....well, our "friends", who are still camping in tents or tent trailers, etc, named it for us........it is known as the "Taj Mahal"......! It was dubbed that the first day we showed up with it, and they set foot in it for the "tour".
