Arch Ceiling?

The Montanas for 2019 look like they no longer have the arched ceiling. Is that correct?

Yes they quit that, I think, for good.

They now have the "flat ceiling" on the 20th anniversary edition. But they made the slides a few inches taller to make it feel as roomy, as it felt prior to some folks.

By taking away the arch it gives more head room in the slides and bedroom. Better design in my opinion. Just because it looks taller does not give you any more living space unless you are a bird.

I attended the Montana factory tour last November and again this January. Two different tour guides and both said the same thing about the change in ceiling design. It was changed to improve air flow in the ducts for the air conditioning. New design reduces noise and increases flow.

I call b.s. This is a cost cutting measure only, to improve profits.

I'm 6'8" tall, and the barrel ceiling in the front LR of our 2019 3731FL was a major selling point! The arched center allows me too walk comfortably through without hunching over slightly. Hope the new flat ceilings are center arch height all the way across, and not shorter...

I thought I had heard something along the lines of what “65” said. I’ll take that very important function over the arches any day. Curious to see if that “crushed” HVAC vent thing goes away as well? Time will tell

I prefer the arched roof since it drains water off more effectively, especially with snow cover.

We purchased a pre-20th Anniversary 2019 and it does have an arched ceiling. Starting last fall they changed design of the ductwork and installed a small block in the ductwork to prevent it from collapsing. I stuck my cell phone up through the return vent to verify. Our unit has good airflow and cools great. The flat roof may help even more, but I like the arch.

I bought a 2019 in September it is a 3120rl with the arched ceiling. We looked at a lot of them, all 2019 some had flat and some were arched. Salesman said it depends on what the factory had in stock at the time. BS or not I know they have arched ceilings in the 2019 3120RL. Enjoy your search and hope you can find one

I did notice the Alpine has the same roof line. It looks like their going with one type of roof supports over both lines. Probably to save money as stated.

Roof is arched, just not the ceiling
