Data Line

Anyone know where the other end of the data line/telephone jack is (3400 desk)? I don't recall seeing anything outside for a connection.

Ours passes straight through the wall on the slide.

Not sure about outside Satellite hookup, ours is in the docking station under the bedroom slide. Data/phone connection on ours is on the slide with the tv/fireplace/desk in it. I don't think there is any cable with it, on ours the connector just goes straight through the slide wall.

Looking on your signature picture, I think you can see the connector above the na below the slide window.

I’m a bit confused which is nothing unusual. When you talk about the data port /telephone port, aren’t they the same?...or is there a separate data port? If so, I don't see it.

I am interested even though I have a different model. I want to remove the outside telephone jack and replace it with the RG6 for my satellite modem. Getting real tired of threading through the slide flap.

Was thinking I could use the existing telephone wires to pull the new cable….any thoughts?

Brad, BTW, my telephone jack is exactly opposite the entertainment cubby…..(2980RL)…probably similar to your old rig.

They are the same. In the new 3400's it does not appear that there are any wires (unless they are only the width of the slide wall). The port on the inside of the slide is merely on the other side of the wall of the port on the outside.

I was setting on the sofa the other night and saw light coming through the phone jack over the desk (light from yard light). I am not sure there is anything other then the connectors (inside & outside) that keept air or water from coming through when the outside cover is off. I ment to check but figured I would do that the next time I have the ladder out but until I do I will make sure the outside cover stays on.
