Truck bed side step
We have a 2016 F350 crew cab dually. Has anyone installed a truck bed side step for getting in the bed for connecting/disconnecting?
Any recommendations?

I have a friend who has a retractable Amp Research bed step on his Truck and can't stop singing it praises. It looks like a very nice piece. I however took a little cheaper route... Found a milk crate alongside the road, makes a great step and a container too!

I just bought the AMP step for my 2019 Ram. The fit chart was misleading. I bought it and wasn’t meant to fit the 2019. Product was well made. I made it fit, but customer service at AMP is terrible. It will probably work for your 2016. It seems that it takes a year or so before they have a product ready.

I have constructed wood blocks I carry for the LCI legs, and they are just the right size for me to stand on to reach my hitch.

3 step aluminum step ladder comes in handy for a few other things inside also.
Carry it and a HF knock off of the Little Giant ladder between hitch and tailgate.

Bed access
I use the bumper step and SLOWLY crawl up into the truck bed to pin the hitch bar and secure the brake cable - then SLOWLY crawl out and hope nobody was watching how difficult that was for me. I could reach everything from the ground in my (former) 1 ton SRW but not on the dually. I need to use a step!

Being pretty tall, I seldom need a tire step but a milk crate works well on those other occasions. It's an older Walmart 'almost' clone. Their new ones wont safely hold my 200#

I have 2 AMP Research steps on my 2017 Ford F250 super cab, 1 on each side. They are a
bit trendy price wise, but they are a great product. Easy bolt on. I'm sure they will fit your 2016.

$12 2 step portable step stool. works on both sides, and for getting in the back to reach the tailgate step. Still on original knees.

I removed and sold the stock step bars, then installed wheel to wheel step bars from Innovative creations.

I use an over the wheel step much like the other two mentioned and got it on Amazon as well. It works great, easy to stow (toss in the back by the tail gate) and provides ample reach.

I agree with jsb5717 over the tire step
I use an over the tire step. It works great and folds so it takes up no room in the bed when not in use.

We got the same Heininger as Woodyswanch. Well made. Fits my 2012 Ram Dually tire good.
