wooo hooo!! got to nine.

Pretty cool stuff too. So if white is not a color so it is fast, and chrome is slicker so its faster, then black must be the slowest as it is a mixture of all the colors?

So, a white truck with a chrome louvered tailgate would be best or would a clear acrylic weave net be better? But if you had a clear acrylic truck it would be both invisable and not there and light. But the real question is, is this enough to get to 10.

I am TOTALLY confused now. I always thought white was the combination of all known colors and black was the absence of light and therefore the absence of color. Science and art teachers input needed immediately. If white is the fastest color, how in the world did Earnhardt win all those races. Now there is something to ponder. And I wonder why the Craftsman truck series doesn't use louvered tail gates??????? This is truly a ponderous thread indeed!!!!!!!

To be louvered, or not to be louvered.

That is the question.

Doug - why not! As long as the sun wasn't shining on you and catching everything around you on fire, I wonder if you would look invisible at Quartzite. You would just be a mirror of the surroundings!

OK, I give up. Was 8 some kind of barrier to be broken? And 10 is going for new unexplored territory?

Edit: Oops! Looks like I pushed it over the edge.

Bingo, Looks like you might have something with black being faster. Not only was Earnhardt's car black but also consider the stealth aircraft, they are black go fast and are really not there. But that brings up another question is round more aerodynamic than square and if it is why does the stealth aircraft go fast.

Oh, so that's why they didn't put out a stealth model in chrome. Bingo? Sailer?

Chrome, what chrome, I am still trying to figure out the black and white statement from around Page 7?? Or was it page 6? Or page 8? There are so many pages on this thread about LOUVERED TAILGATES that I am getting lost and am seeing colored spots. Sailer, help Robbie out on the Chrome please!!!!!

But, you know, Chrome motor accessories add 3 to 5 more horsepower each and the Chrome louvered tailgate is much larger therefore it mast give massive horsepower. So it looks like Robbie is right. Chrome is the Answer!

Will the use of a chrome tailgate void your warranty?

bigmurf,

...you fortunately know which ones just have recalls, and very little warranty service. Rumor has it they may have a chrome model next year.
