I have just purchased a new 3605 to replace our 1999 Montana. I have just gotten my bill for a full year. It is $353.00. Yes that is for a full year. My bill for the 1999 was $268.00 The coverage is $500 deductable, Diminishing ded., Emergency vacation exp. $750., Personal proberty coverage, Total loss replacement cost.(will be replaced with a new trailer) Vacation liability $10000. No ded. for awning loss.
This is great coverage for a very low premium. The company is National Interstate Ins. The agent is THUM INS. 1-800-866-0777. They can serve anyone.

I retired on 1-1-2008 after 36 years as an agent with STATE FARM INS. I have carried my rv insurance with Thum since the mid. 1990s. This is a better policy at a much lower rate than state farm.

The programs with AARP have in the past had a bad rep. for canc. and massive rate increases if you have just one claim. GMAC is like AIM. $$$ problems, and you need a company with $ if you have a claim.

Well Ozz .. State Farm is going to drop all Fl house Ins in the next year but they hope to keep the rest of the cars etc.. Well Gov Crist says get out of Fl and stay out.. Guess what Texas is next . they only want the places with no claims.. So i am looking and i have priced all the boats , rv's and cars with progrisev and geico and geice is cheep on cars but progresive is cheep on rvs and boats . I also found a home insure today half of state farm so to me state farm is out as i started with them in 1992 and have never had a claim but to me they are out in 30 days or less with me,,, sailer

Thanks, tment that is a good rate, and if a retired State Farm agent thinks it's good, I like it.

Hi

I reported earlier that my insurance was Exporer RV Insurance but that is the Agency. Actually I also have National Interstate Ins. The coverages sounded so similar that I checked mine out. I am not sure why my insurance for a year is 540 rather than tment's $353. Maybe I need to call them. A 2008 Big Sky should not have that much more value than a 3605. Karen

Karen, Is yours possibly "FullTimer" insurance? If so that could be the difference....

We have been with Explorer for 5 years now, that's technically National Interstate. Actually had to use them a few years ago, I got great service very quickly. Every year I look for better rates from various insurance companies, to date have not found better rates. I can highly recommend them.

One thing for the FULLTIMERS that no longer are home owners to keep in mind.
Without a home owners policy a Fulltimer has no liability insurance.
So when talkng "RV Insurance" be sure you are comparing apples to apples.

We DO have a Fulltimers insurance plan, if a guest trips and breaks a leg in my Monty I am covered.

BTW-Our insurance is thru the Gilbert Ins. agency and the policy is written thru American Security Ins. Our yearly premium is $718.00
They do insure Texans.

I went with Progessive. After comparing prices and coverage they were the best IMHO. $480 a year for our Big Sky with relacement coverage for the first 5 years then after that purchase price towards a new unit if totalled. Good Sam wanted over $1000. We haven`t had a claim so I can`t comment on that end but I`ve seen a Progessive claim car at our campground so they come to you to look at the damage.
