The Rally--Perry Georgia

Is any one planning on going to the Rally in Georgia in March? We are planning on going. (I couldn't figure out where to put this so the administrators can move it if they want)

Being new to this lifestyle, I had not yet heard about any rally, event(s), etc. in Georgia. When I get some details regarding the Perry, Georgia event, Cathy and I will schedule ourselves to be there.

We want to begin to meet fellow MOC members and other RV'ers. You folks included.

I am referring to the national rally put on by Good Sam, Woodalls, most of the RV manufactureres, etc--like the one that was in Redmond Oregon last summer. Here is the link for it www.therally.com Our Montana Owners rallys are at a different time--April in Arizona and Sept in Goshen.

Paul and Jan, we are planning on "visiting" the rally in Perry. We have been to the ones in Daytona and Redmond and have decided we will camp in Unadilla and drive back and forth.
Even though we have met some very nice people at these rallys, they don't come close to our MOC rallys, which now seem to be more like reunions more and more!
When my dad and brother and I went to Perry for the first rally there, it rained something fierce. Units were having to be towed out of 4 inch mud. This is not the fault of the rally people, they cannot control the weather.
Hopefully we will be able to get together somewhere for breakfast or an evening meal or just to chat!

There's been a mini-rally at Elko, Georgia for the past two years at the end of March. It's very relaxed but a great deal of fun. Don't know if anyone is going to organize it again.

I just looked at the Twin Oak RV park's website. The place looks great, and it's only 134 miles from my farm. Cathy and I will arrange for a weekend spot there during the Perry Rally. That will put our trailer there March 14th through the 17th. Maybe, we can mee some of you.

Sounds like we may be able to have several so that we can have a get together sometime during the Rally time. Emmel, maybe you have an idea of a place and time since you have been there before and you just went to the one in Oregon. as time gets closer we should have a better idea of how many might be there.

I'm staying at the Rally. When I called Twin Oaks to get reservations, they said they had been full for several months.

Maybe, I'd better confirm my booking. I did so online, but never received a return e-mail with confirmation or negative message.

I won't count chickens yet.

Paul & Jan, we are planning on being at the rally at Perry too. Would like to see other MOC members while we are there. We will keep watching for a meeting place. Have never been to the one at Perry but we are looking forward to it. We parked kitty-corner behind you at the 06 MOC rally at Goshen. Looking forward to seeing you again. Good Evening to Paul and Jan from the beautiful State of Nebraska! You're missing out on some nice weather up here! It was in the mid to upper 30's today and is expected to be up in the 50's by Saturday or Sunday! "If you don't like the weather here in Nebraska, just wait a couple of days and it will change!" I think Mary and I are heading for Georgia for The Rally but we are not bringing the Monte! I think we'll be staying at Mary's brother's place in Montezuma and driving back and forth from there. I'll keep watching this thread and see if the MOCrs are getting together and we will try and make it! Talk at you later!

We will be at the rally in Perry. Maybe someone can figure out a way that all of us can get together while we are there. I know we will be in lot #4.Hope to see some of the MOC members there. We met some of you at the mini-rally in Elko last year. Twin Oaks RV Park is a nice place. We have stayed there many times. Maybe we all could meet there one night. They have a nice clubhouse that we could use. If someone wants to plan a get together let us know.
