Montana 3730fl pin weight

I would like to know of any 3730fl owners that have weighed their rig on a trucking scale and if you can report the pin weight of your 3730fl. I know what the specs say, I want to know what some typical pin weights for this rig have been. Thank you!

Pin weight will vary based on cargo. More weight behind axels will reduce pin weight, more in front will increase

I realize that I'm just very curious of some of the numbers people have weighed in with this rig. Thank you!

I had a 3750FL. Pin weight was between 2700 lbs, and 3100 lbs. it really mattered how much I had in fron compartments and under bed compartment

As a general rule, pin weight is 20% of the GVWR.

We add between 800-900 lbs to the published pin weight if that helps you.

The trailer manufacturer's published hitch/tongue weight is developed on a computer model. It is developed to satisfy a safety regulation for vehicle certification. The actual standard reads very close to this... The trailer manufacturer's recommended tongue weight, when added to the trailers total vehicle certified GAWRs MUST not be less than GVWR.

In a perfect world, with a balanced cargo load, it will work. Percentage wise it's in the ball park. However, once that trailer is sold its hitch/tongue weight management becomes 100% the vehicle owner's responsibility.

For all RV trailers manufactured after 2007, the weight of their installed propane system including full propane tanks are part of the trailer's GVW (dry weight) when it leaves the factory. All portable water must be treated as cargo.

It's very hard to get usable answers for the OP because there are so many different options to consider. Water is the most complicated because of various tank locations and owner dumping habits. Washer dryer combos in the forward bedroom, a book library in any Livingroom. Some carry only seasonal clothing where others may carry all seasonal clothing. Basements might have Styrofoam containers or something much more heavy.
