Latest year/model frame flex issues.

Hi. The frame flex issues I have is the black steel frame not secured to aluminum framing I believe. So that I get allot of movement in the front closet area and between top of hitch and bottom nose of cap.
Question is, what is the latest year or model still having issues? We are considering a 2016/17.
Thanks in advanced for any info.

I don't think there is a year that you won't have the possibility of frame flex. The basic assembly process hasn't changed in years.

The newer units with the larger frame members still seem to have the issue occasionally so I'd agree with Diesel Guy.

Agree with all. I wasn't impressed when I looked up at the ceiling in my passthru ans saw that they used power driven hard steel nails to connect the flooring to the one inch square structure that is the upper gooseneck area of the bedroom. Oh yeah...they missed on quite a few shots and I have these nails angled odd beside the structure. Yeah, I also have a broken closet wall as well. John

As diesleguy and DQDick have stated it doesn't see to be any specific year. It can happen to the new units as well as the older units. The problem with most frame flex is that the welds on the aluminum nose assembly have either broken loose or were not welded properly and the only way you can see that is by removing the nose cap completely and do a visual check. They have put more support into the nose assembly now as we have witnessed while doing the factory tour at the Fall Rally but it all depends on who did the welding. I've seen a few goosenecks on some Montana's and that is one thing I would not recommend because the front assembly is not heavy enough to take that extra stress that a gooseneck puts on the assembly. If you compare the welds and metal on a gooseneck trailer to the fifth wheel assembly you will see the gooseneck is constructed with much heavier metal and welds compared to a fifth wheel.
