Animal requirements at Canadian Border

This is for anyone that has gone from the states in to Canada.
Can anyone tell me the experience they had crossing into Canada and then into Alaska and back with dogs.
Any info. Docs,Certs, would help and be appreciated. Thanks!
Jack

We crossed with the dog into and out of Canada. We had shot records, etc, but were never asked,

We have crossed into and out of Canada several times since 2006. Our experience has been exactly as washley1.

Same here. Had the records, but no one asked either way. Don't be taken by a vet that wants you to have the same stuff done to your animal as for flying. You won't need it!

There law. Health sert no older than 30 days. We always have them but we're never been asked. However think how you would feel if your pet was quarantined for who knows how long.

We have crossed back and forth numerous times, often twice in the same day, have only been asked once about vaccinations and the only concern was rabies. So after 8 years of crossing back and forth I would make sure that my dog had a valid rabies vaccination but other wise there are no concerns.

Took the tie and expense of going to the vet and getting all certifications and update of shots. Never asked for anything when we crossed the border.
