Interior Montana Wooden Decal
I have a 2010 Montana 3400RL. The interior wooden decal on the living room slide is rolling up and sliding down. The glue that was used seems to be too fluid and is releasing the wood shavings. Is there any way that I can repair this? I like the way it looks so I would rather not remove it.
Thanks.

I've used Gorilla glue on similar projects, haven't had to deal with that one yet however.

I can't seem to get the insert image to work or i would post the picture. I thought of the urethane glues but there is still too much of the other glue left on the surfaces and the urethane glue expands too much.

I removed it CAREFULLY. Cleaned the glue off with GooGone. Reinstalled with Elmer's wood glue, very little. Also drilled 2 tiny holes thru decal into facia and installed two tiny nails, one near each end. Cut off nail heads and made them flush with surface. Nails are all but invisible. Nails prevent slippage if glue softens in heat.

Both of ours did this, I fixed it by heating up the area with a hair dryer, once its hot they will peal off, once off I re installed them where they should be, then used two small brass colored tacks with small heads, one tack on the each side of the decal almost the same as Larry did, took 20 minutes

Just as a side to the 'cannot insert image', please note that the image must be stored ON the net somewhere, you cannot post it directly from your computer.
Good luck on the fix.

Thanks everyone I've gotta plan now. I hope that she doesn't notice me using her hair dryer.

I had to have mine replaced by the dealer under warranty. He used a similar process. He brad nailed it to the wooden trim & glued it. Never came loose again. The original problem was the stellar craftsmanship used to produce it in the 1st place was , shall we say, "faulty"

Seems you've uncovered yet another common problem many of us have encountered. I always had the wood glue in my mind as a solution to the problem but as ours just peels a bit from most of the emblem edges I was concerned with how to get it totally removed. Ah yes, the hair dryer trick, thanks everyone.
